About Santa Rita

Santa Rita is one of the most important districts in the department of Alto Paraná, distinguished by its vigorous agricultural activity. It has a significant community of colonists of Brazilian origin—known as brasiguayos—who settled in the area from the second half of the twentieth century onward and helped make it a reference point for soybean production in eastern Paraguay. The district has commercial and service infrastructure tied to the agro-industrial sector. Its economic dynamism places it among the most productive municipalities in the department, integrated into the axis of Ciudad del Este.
