About San Salvador
San Salvador is a district in the Guairá department in eastern central Paraguay. Its name, of Hispanic and religious origin, reflects the influence of colonial evangelization on Paraguay's geographic nomenclature. With a predominantly rural profile, the district orients its economy toward agricultural and livestock production, an activity that defines the character of most communities in the Guairá department. Its natural surroundings share the subtropical characteristics typical of the region.
