About Mbocayaty
Mbocayaty is a district in the Guairá department in eastern Paraguay. Its Guaraní name alludes to the mbocayá palm, a native tree present in the landscape of central Paraguay and a historically important resource for local communities. The district has a rural profile, with an economy oriented toward agriculture and livestock. It is part of the network of communities in Guairá and shares the subtropical natural environment typical of the department, with its characteristic vegetation and productive soils.
