About Villa Curuguaty

Villa Curuguaty is one of the oldest and most important urban centers in the department of Canindeyú. Located in northeastern Paraguay, it has historically functioned as an administrative and commercial hub for the department's interior zone, linking the surrounding rural communities. The district's economy combines agricultural production—with a strong presence of soybeans and, in earlier periods, tobacco—with the trade and services characteristic of a regional reference town.
