About Nueva Esperanza
Nueva Esperanza is a district in the department of Canindeyú, in northeastern Paraguay. Its name, common among colonial settlements in the eastern region, expresses the foundational spirit that guided the establishment of communities in these territories during the interior colonization processes of the twentieth century. The local economy relies on agricultural production, with soybean cultivation as the main activity in a rural setting that shares with the rest of Canindeyú the influence of communities of Brazilian origin and the dynamics characteristic of a department bordering Brazil.
